Ingredients

4tbs Chilli Charm Garlic Oil

2 shallots

3 gaelic cloves

800g chopped tomatoes

30g tomato purée

30g dark honey

1tbsp dried oregano

1 small bunch of basil

Pizza Sauce

Method

1, fine dice and mince both shallots and garlic,

2, Add garlic oil to a deep pan on a medium heat, sweat down shallots and garlic until translucent. Once translucent add the dried oregano and tomato purée, then continue to cook for 3 minutes.

3, Add the chopped tomatoes and honey and cook on a low heat for 15-20 minutes

4, Let the sauce cool down for 5 minutes,

5, This step is optional, if your prefer your sauce to be smooth you can blend with a hand blender until smooth.

6, leave the sauce to cool completely and then add your chopped basil.

7, Use this sauce within 3 days if stored in the fridge however, this sauce can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
